Optical power equalization using Fabry Perot semiconductor optical amplifier

A novel scheme of optical power equalization based on Fabry-Perot semiconductor optical amplifier (FP-SOA) is proposed. Because of the gain characteristic of FP-SOA, real-time controlling mechanism according to input optical power is aborted in the scheme. The simulations show that 10-dB pulse peak
