A simple and cost-effective multi-wavelength fiber ring laser based on a chirped Moiré fiber grating (CMFG) and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is proposed. Stable triple-wavelength lasing oscillations at room temperature are experimentally demonstrated.
