With a plano-concave cavity, diode-pumped continuous-wave (CW) and actively Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser operating at 1.34 \mu m is demonstrated. Maximum CW output power of 4.76 W and Q-switched average output power of 2.64 W are obtained with output coupler (transmission T=3.9%). For the Q-switching op
