Focusing on an in-depth exploration and establishment of an intelligent transportation system model based on IoT engineering, this paper delves into the application of IoT technology in the field of transportation. We discuss the effective integration of sensing, communication, and control technologies to construct an efficient intelligent transportation system. In this graduation design, a comprehensive analysis of various key components of the intelligent transportation system is conducted, proposing an innovative model. Through systematic data collection and analysis, real-time monitoring and management of traffic flow, vehicle positions, and road conditions are achieved. This not only enhances the operational efficiency of the transportation system but also optimizes the distribution of traffic flow, reducing the occurrence of traffic congestion. The research also delves into the emergency response mechanism of the intelligent transportation system in dealing with emergencies and traffic accidents to ensure the reliability and stability of the system. Through this study, we provide robust theoretical support and practical experience for the future development of intelligent transportation systems based on IoT engineering.
